Ground Penetrating Radar
Ground Penetrating Radar(GPR) is utilized when a known utility is either a non-metallic material such as PVC and clay, or does not have any access points such as a shut-off valve, manhole, or a meter panel. This is also a useful service if you have a work area in the middle of a field and have no knowledge of what utility lines or structures could be buried there.
The GPR is an amazing technology that allows us to see through the ground. Radar signals are sent through the surface. When an object is found the signals will bounce back, giving us a digital interpretation on the screen. This provides us with specific data including size, shape, direction, and depth. A printout or digital file of the data as well as data mapping can be made available at your request. Another service that can be used here is Vacuum Excavation. If something is found but not identified we can dig a test pit over our mark to uncover the object and properly identify it.
